How to Prepare for JSTSE 2015 Exam?
|

JSTSE 2015 Syllabus
|

AND HERE COMES MY BLOG IN HELP-
Well, there’s
no particular syllabus of JSTSE, and in this way it’s similar to NTSE. I
strongly recommend you to go through your NCERT books of Class 9 and 10,
both Science and Mathematics. Many of the questions and figures were directly
picked up from the NCERT books. And well, Class 11th is also necessary. A major
part of Chemistry last year (2011) was from Class 11th NCERT. If you’re
attending some coaching or attending special classes in your school, do not
ignore whatever they tell you. And yes, questions would not be restricted to
Class 10 level. Though, the questions that came last year from 11th were purely
from the ncert. Mathematics usually is very easy, but you need to go through
concepts of 10th.
GK
For cracking the GK part of JSTSE, you need to
be adept at knowledge about the state of Delhi. (If you’re giving JSTSE
from Delhi, that is) There would be around 10 MCQs in this section, while
others are non-mcq objective type. There can be some questions
on History as well. There are about 10 questions whereby, you have to name the
organisation with the help of its symbol. As of what I remember, in 2011,
IGNOU, Bal Bhawan, Pepsi were there (I don’t remember the rest :P).. A majority
of the questions in this section are non-mcq type, and in totality,
there are 50 questions (I don’t remember exactly). Do go through GK books and
some current affairs books, if you have time.
INTERVIEW
And now, the 2nd level of jstse: the interview round. Interviews
can have drastic disparities in jstse. You may be asked questions from
Class 11, or from the basics of your Class 10 and 9.Many -a-times (not for
all candidates, though), they’ll ask you which topic do you prefer in a
particular subject,a nd they tend to stick to it. You may be given some
lab apparatus, and you’d be asked to name it, or some specimens could be given
to you for identification. The interview can be very easy, or very tough,
at times. The important thing is to maintain a cool temperament (because
well, the fans don’t work properly :) )and answer to the best of your
ability.
JSTSE BOOKS
Since there is no particular official website or records of old
papers, the papers can be quite varied. However, it’s important to
go through the NCERTs of Science and Mathematics of Classes 9
and 10. Read reference books like S. Chand, Bharati Bhawan publications,
if you have time. And also try to do some parts of 11th. Only if you have time
left, that is.
See, jstse can be quite unpredictable. Start with the NCERT
books of mathematics and science of class 9 and 10. The science ncert of class
10 may not be very useful, so in order to save time, I’d recommend you to go
for the other reference books (I’d read from Bal Bharti publications). The
specific chapters where you’ll need to pay more attention are electricity,
magnetism, heredity (please do blood groups also, even if they aren’t in
ncert), cells. But go through all the topics carefully, because the pattern
keeps on changing. When I gave jstse, most of the questions were from 9 and 10,
but in chemistry, many things were directly picked up from the ncert of class
11. So, if you have time left, then study the ncert of class 11 too. Only after
completing 9 and 10. (I hope I haven’t scared you :P )
I don’t really remember what had come in GK now, as it has been
2 yrs, since I gave jstse. Sorry! Do you go for any coaching or have special
classes in your school for jstse? I had gone to fiitjee, actually. If you gave
ntse, then I can assure you: jstse will be easier than ntse.

Social Data
Cost and overhead previously rendered this semi-public form of communication unfeasible.
But advances in social networking technology from 2004-2010 has made broader concepts of sharing possible.
